Three AAID articles on implants in June Dental Economics

Articles by three members of AAID were featured in the June 2007 issue of Dental Economics.  These were  placed by the AAID Public Relations department.

Dr. Craig Cooper shares his thoughts about the importance of implants in a practice in his article entitled, "Implant Dentistry will become part of core practice."

Dr. Joel Rosenlicht discusses trends in technology tools in implant dentistry diagnostics in his article "New Diagnostic Techniques."

AAID's regular bi-monthly column for the June issue was written by Dr. Jeffrey Meister who shared his experiences in an article entitled "Getting started as an implant dentist."

Preliminary Program in mail for 2007 AAID annual meeting

The Preliminary Program for the 56th Annual Meeting is in the mail to you.  It should arrive by the middle of July.  An online PDF version suitable for downloading and printing is available here.

In addition, two Web sites are available that provide even more information and are interactive.  One requires Flash application but the other does not.  You may access both through the same convenient link on the AAID Web site by clicking "Learn More" under the annual meeting area OR directly by clicking here.

Both sites have a detailed schedule, abstracts of all the scientific programs to be presented and bios of speakers as well as a continually updated list of current exhibitors.  Information about Las Vegas and a link to register online for the meeting or to reserve your room at the Rio Suites Hotel are provided.

Check the site frequently for updates.

Gatlin Brothers to entertain at President's Celebration

Larry, Steve, and Rudy Gatlin started singing in their little hometown of Abilene, Texas, and from there went on to make music history.  Over the course of a career that has taken the Gatlin Brothers from dusty Texas stages to White House performances, from Broadway to Grammy Awards to the top of the country charts, there has been one unifying element:  music.

Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers have forged a new musical standard for vocal harmony, raw talent and showmanship while topping the music charts with hit after hit.  One of the first-class acts in Country Music, the Gatlins have 15 Top-Five hits including their #1 hits.

AAID is pleased to present the Gatlin Brothers at the President's Celebration on Saturday night, November 10, 2007 during the 56th Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.

AAID Research Foundation Raffle and Reception

Win $5,000 or $15,000 in the AAID Research Foundation Raffle.  Only 500 tickets will be sold and your chances of winning get better as the winners are announced at a special reception during the AAID Annual Meeting.  You do not need to be present to win.

However, if you do attend the reception on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm, you can enjoy the excitement and suspense while learning the fate of your raffle ticket.

Here is how it works:  Five winning raffle tickets will be drawn...but not at the same time.  There will be a cash prize of $5,000 for the 100th, 200th, 300th, and 400th ticket drawn.  The 500th ticket will win $15,000.

Tickets cost $200 and no more than 500 will be sold.  You can purchase them in advance through AAID headquarters by contacting Afshin Alavi or by phone at 312.335.1550 or buy them during the annual meeting.

Business Bite

EDITOR’S NOTE:  Each issue of the AAID eGram will provide information about the business aspects of the practice of implant dentistry.  Entitled “Business Bite,” these will include information that you may find useful to running your practice more profitably.

Dentistry is a stressful profession.  Rather than treating the symptoms of stress, it might be more useful to find the root causes of stress, particularly within your practice.  Tyson Steele offers a roadmap to finding the root causes of stress in your practice and offers tips to eradicate those cause in his article "The 'Third' Statistic."
